11 April 2015    DH   Reece   WorldCup   Zarja

After months of winter preparations and days of training & tuning in Lourdes the racing started! Qualifications day in Lourdes was full of surprises, and quite a few people also finished in the hospital. Among them was also Zarja Černilogar – she injured her shoulder and need to visit doctors when she gets back home. We can only guess how many weeks “off-the-bike” this means, but we sure wish her fast recovery. Nal Otoničar, our junior rider, also crashed and missed tomorrow’s finals by couple of places.

Boys did a good job while Zarja was being checked out. Ruaridh Cunningham was first Unior rider on the race and he did a solid run, with good time and without too many risks. He was 54. Žiga Pandur was next, but his run was simply not smooth, and with 88th time he had to say goodbye to the finals. Jure Žabjek was next - his run was much better and good enough for 72nd place. This means first finals for Jure Žabjek, which definitely desires congratulations!

Finally, it was on Reece Wilson to go on a track. He has start number 121, but that didn't stop him to get all the way to the 40th place. We can call this a great start of the season!
