tanja-zakelj-1

Tanja Žakelj is one of the fastest females mountain bikers on the planet. She had great career till 2013, after that her results went through the roof. After podium finish in Albstadt she won World Cup races in Czech Republic and Italy, grabbed the white jersey of the World Cup leader and never took it off. Her 2014 season was equally impressive with 3rd place overall in the World Cup and her second consecutive European XCO title. 2015 and 2016 seasons were full of top-10 results in the World Cup and two new national titles. A lot of great results couldn’t hide disappointment on some races, but she qualified for Rio, came back from Brasil with 13th place, and finished the 2016 campaign with 7th and 8th place in MSA and Vallnord.
