Round 2 of the British Downhill Series took place in a windy/wet Fort William. With the event becoming an annual warm up for the World Cup, it attracts top riders from all over the world looking to get that extra edge in June.
First EDC race of the season, first podium for our team – Jure Žabjek was third, Žiga Pandur was not far behind in fourth! Credits also go to organizers that moved the race to a new location in the last moment. This was the first iXS race with Super Final on Sunday.
Slovenian DH Cup started with strong international UCI C1 race in Buzet, Croatia. Jure Žabjek and Žiga Pandur were fastest riders throughout the weekend and took first and second in the elite man category (for the second year in a row!). Jure also set the new track record!
Tanja Žakelj won the Grazer Bike-Opening Stattegg race in Austria – she had a good race from the start and continued in her own way, taking the top podium place ahead of Eva Lechner and Blaža Klemenčič. This amazing results shows good form just in the right time – World Cup starts in two weeks!
The last secret for 2015 is now out in the open – Unior Tools Team is entering BMX racing with a pair of very special riders. Kevin Berginc is an ex XCE racer and amazing multisport talent, while Filip Flisar is nothing else than current Ski Cross World Champion!
Tanja Žakelj and Urban Ferenčak were our riders on the 4 Islands MTB stage race in Croatia. After four great days on islands of Krk, Rab, Cres & Lošinj, our team is traveling back home with two stage victories and overall victory in the mix pairs category.
Another crazy day in Lourdes finished with victories for France and USA, our three finalists meanwhile rode to some great results. Ruaridh was fastest of them, finishing in 43rd. Reece and Jure, both fresh in the elite men category, were 47th and 53rd.
