Tanja Žakelj traveled to Poland this weekend, to the horse-class race in Jelenia Góra, the race that holds the name of biggest start of Polish mountain bike – Maja Wloszczowska. She made her fans happy with the victory on “her own” race, Tanja had a puncture in the first lap, but the she battled her way to third.
After the race in Leogang the whole team traveled to Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the team presentation and revealing of the new bike park we are building on the outskirts of the city. We had the whole cross-country, downhill, enduro and BMX team in one place, plus the whole staff.
Another crazy weekend is behind us, and again we are leaving the World Cup venue with some very nice results, this time from Ruaridh and Nal. Ruaridh was 27th, while Nal improved greatly on his qualification result and finished in 15th place on the junior race.
Ruaridh Cunningham was our fastest rider in Fort William, on the one of the most iconic tracks in the World Cup. He crashed and still managed to finish the race in 21st place, which is another very solid result. Reece Wilson was a surprise of the qualifications – he set 12th time, but lost it later in the finals.
Couple of stage victories, 5th place overall in the elite men race and overall victory in the under 21 category. This is what Ruaridh Cunningham and Reece Wilson did this weekend on the round 3 of the Enduro World Series!
A week between the World Cup races was not enough to find the right formula for a good result – Tanja was 25th today in Albstadt. She lost a lot in the first part of the race, after that she was back on the pace and started to gain places again, but the gaps were just too big.
It’s movie time – we have highlight videos from Nové Mesto and Kranjska Gora, all in one place. Thanks to UCI and Red Bull TV for the production.
Nové Mesto na Morave already was a lucky place for Tanja Žakelj, but not this year. 27-year old had a great middle part of the race, but with a slow start and finish she had to settle for 15th place. We will build on many positive things and get ready for the next race!
